Smoking fish is one of the oldest methods of preservation. Our knowledge of cleaning, preparing, salting and smoking fish has been passed on from generation to generation. Smoking eel is done over a fire with oak and beech. This wood gives the eel and balanced and smooth smokey flavor.
You will get the chance to see the process of smoking eel. Of course you can have a go at it yourself. Or you can relax at the lake view terrace, while watching the stunning panoramic views this village has to offer. Or go for a walk through old Dutch countryside and a swim in the Markermeer, a large fresh water lake.
